Clouded mind.

Today was one of those ups and down days. A lot of it was spent running around after this little muffin of trouble.. Ellie’s been a tiny terror as of late! I’ve been getting more things ticked off the never-ending-list, fretting about silly nonsensical things and worrying far too much. All of which is totally unnecessary and ‘doesn’t get me anywhere’ as my boyfriend says, (he’s definitely the calmer more relaxed one in our relationship.) I just can’t help it sometimes. I worry/over think too much!

Other than that I did manage to get a super organised Pack list  written up and managed a tiny bit of packing, the easy-bathroom kit-kind! I also fished out mums suitcase that I will be using for my trip, it’s zebra striped which I can’t help but laugh at. I really hate packing. It’s probably the most stressful part of the whole process for me. Trying to fit a months worth of clothes into a tiny box on wheels just screams nightmare to me. Especially since I have to think logically about what to wear- mixing items and such. I can’t just heap my entire wardrobe into it.. as much as I would like too! How all of those are supposed to fit into that tiny Body Shop bag I don’t know.. I’m not much of a hair straightening girl any more but I couldn’t resist the cuteness of this mini one I picked up a couple of months back, perfect for on-the-go travelling and such. Ultimate consumer that I am…I use my ghd for ironing fabric! Lush shampoo bar is coming with me, for ease rather than all that gooey crap that could accidentally spill out. Another super girly item, my pink shell compact mirror. It reminds me too much of the Little Mermaid to not like. Malaria tablets, Galfer Tablets (curse you anaemia!) and endless supplies of supplements to bring along too.. May as well bring the chemist whilst I’m at it!

The past few nights I’ve been in front of the laptop screen much too long (my poor eyes!) writing emails, organising SA things and of course, preparing blog posts for when I’m away next month. It occurred to me a few weeks ago that I might not be able to update as often as I would like so I’m being the good blogger and have a couple posts in the queue waiting to be published, DIYS ready to be typed up and I’ve even managed to ask some favourite bloggers of mine to guest post for me next month! Eek! So you have all that coming your way soon! I’m so excited to be having my very first guest bloggers posting here on My Fabric Heart, another first for me and my blog! xo

Tick tock

I’m really loving my new camera and I think it’s given me a new lust for life, between speeding through my note book of to-do lists (something that usually doesn’t happen so quickly) ticking each one off and snapping pictures around the homestead of everything and anything that takes my fancy, the past two days have been productive to say the least! New tutorials have been done, photographs have been taken, a resolution has been fulfilled, alterations are sewn up and I even managed to do a little outfit shoot today- gasp!

Mentioning on Twitter earlier today I realised, to my horror, at just how little time I have left in Ireland. Why do I think it’s still the beginning of July? I have 23 days left to get things organised until I am actually basking in glorious South African sun (and probably dying from the intense heat!) so even though I am excited, I’m nervous as hell and starting to panic about everything! I feel like I’m running out of time to spend both at home, with friends and seeing my boyfriend, all before I leave! Some serious planning is in order I think..

How has your Monday been? XO
