D.I.Y add some pretty to your little black dress.

Here’s the simplest of D.I.Y’s, it’s really just a handy little tip!

This is my Lily Allen LBD, it’s nothing fancy, has two pockets and a sunflower on one strap…But with a quick little hemming of frilly crochet I’ve added a little feature too it. I’ll show you how.

You’ll need a sewing machine, or your own hands. Sewing machine’s are faster and neater I find. Some fabric scissors and the choosen lace.

Step one, Turn your dress inside out. Using hat pins carefully pin the lace to the underneath of the end of your dress.

Step two, sew along the sem in the same colour as your dress so the stitching is not seen from the outside. Sew single stitch and then a zig zig stitch to stop the hem from fraying. Turn dress the right way in and viola! Simple yet cute.

Give it a try, it gives your dress an instant spark too it. :]
