DIY: Ring Bling Tutorial

Hey everyone, as last weeks diy tutorial never got put up in time I’m posting this adorable tute up for you to do on your Sunday evening. It’s my favourite tutorial for making your own fashion statement jewellery and its incredibly easy! All you need as some things from home, I didn’t spend a cent making these and neither should you! On with the instructions!

These are all you need to make your new rings. A bag of beads, pliers in two sizes (small and regular) copper wire, stripped from old cables no longer needed (I found mine in the shed!) and a tube/marker pen for ring size.
Step one: You don’t need much wire for one ring, about as much as I have here in the first picture. Thread your bead (I chose a multiple coloured one) on and have it dead centre of your wire. Loop the wire around your marker pen and bring each end upwards like in picture four. (to retain the ring shape don’t take your ring off the pen, I just did this for the picture!)
Step two: Start wrapping your wire around the bead! Make sure to have each wire tightly wrapped until your have covered half of your bead. With the short ends, carefully wrap them to the bottom of the rings and tighten with your smaller pliers. Cut the edges and squish them smooth. Finito. Simples, right?
Who doesn’t like a quick and snappy jewellery tutorial? Especially when it really is as easy as stringing a bit of copper wire together. My favourite is the green beaded ring. Once put together they look like real gemstones at a glance.
Happy making!
Please link me if you make your own, i’d love to see your variations! :] XO

This is gorgeous! I’ll have to try with some picture hanging wire I have – just need to find a bead somewhere. Thanks for the tutorial!
