Often come in small gestures.
It’s the little things that build to make a good day. A cup of sweet tea in your favourite cup. Completing a tough run with the feeling you’ve accomplished something monumental. An afternoon bath with the sunlight rippling through the soapy water. Running out to the garden to pick fresh lettuce and rocket from mamas polytunnel instead of reaching in the fridge. Experimenting with mammoth salads for dinner. Re-establishing my love for beet root and furthering my obsession with couscous.
I’ve been enjoying the small moments of my days rather than dwelling on the fact that all it seems to be doing lately is rain. Staying positive even when I know I have to walk to work in torrential weather is strangely a lot easier than I thought. At least I’m getting fresh air and heaps of exercise! We get glimpses of Summer every now and then and this evening is definitely one of those every now and thens. The skies are clear and the air is calm. I only wish I had a hammock to lie out on and read whilst the weather is beautiful. xo
